Join for an evening with Eric Andersen, former guitarist with BB King for the launch of his new album, Dance of Love and Death, featuring 17 original songs, his first studio album since 2003. He will perform tracks from the album and selections from his career, accompanied by Steve Addabbo.
Recognized in the 1960s Greenwich Village folk scene, Andersen has co-written with artists like Lou Reed and Bob Weir. His music has been covered by legends such as Bob Dylan and Judy Collins. Featured in an Andy Warhol film, he has a documentary, The Songpoet, available on PBS.
Andersen has released over 30 CDs, including a tribute album in 2022 with various artists. His upcoming album, Dance of Love and Death, will be released in 2025 alongside a collection of his spoken works and a live album from a 2012 Tokyo performance. His poetic songs continue to captivate global audiences.
