NEEDLEPOINT
Norwegian band born from love for old British rock heroes from the 70s, with bassist extraordinaire Nikolai Hængsle (Elephant9, Møster!). The band has a unique set of sonic fingerprints, blending a plaintive, homegrown feel with all-hands-on-deck prog rock, but their light, jazzy drumming, fluid keyboard lines, and bright, airy melodies certainly sound like they owe a debt to Canterbury. Topped with mind- bending, jazz-tinged guitar work, deft bass lines and melodious vocals that tie the band together with tales from the road between reality and fantasy.
