As what we watch and consume becomes more individualized, how does a mass medium focused on the communal experience stay relevant? The speaker will argue it’s more relevant than ever, and it’s not going anywhere.
Radio Content Director and storyteller Andrew Charles Wilcox will discuss the changing landscape of radio in these digital times, what that means for the community, and how it still connects us all.
Speaker: Andrew Charles Wilcox
Andrew is the Content Director for 106.7 ROCK and KiSS 107.7. He’s worked in media for over 25 years in programming, hosting, marketing, and promotions. He’s also the host and creator of The Wander with Andrew Wilcox podcast and has been the MC at over 100 events. He’s a huge supporter of community and has been a board or committee member for multiple non-profit organizations, charity motorcycle rides and music organizations including the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride, The Fort McMurray SPCA, and Alberta Music. Like most Radio professionals, Andrew has lived and been on the mic all around the province and country including Medicine Hat, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Edmonton, Regina and now Lethbridge. He grew up on a farm just outside Camrose; he was a terrible cowboy, but has always had a passion for country life, music, community, and motorcycles. Andrew moved to Lethbridge in 2024 to settle back under the open skies of southern Alberta and be a part of this wonderful community.
