StewDay at Lake George Nature Park

We need your help to control the spread of invasive plants in our natural areas! Fall is the perfect time to remove buckthorn and autumn olive, persistent invasive shrubs that can dominate our native ecosystems. We'll use hand saws and loppers to cut down these shrubs, freeing up space for native plants to grow. Dress for the weather - Sturdy, waterproof footwear, long pants, and long sleeves are recommended. Bring your favorite pair of gardening gloves, but we'll provide the tools, refreshments, and extra gloves. Join us and help protect the Nature Near You!
