Join us for two back-to-back greywater workshops where you will learn how to design and install your own laundry greywater system and your own rain garden.
At 8:30am, in the Laundry to Landscape workshop, you will learn about greywater code, water budget, do’s and don’ts, parts, tools, what kinds of soaps to use, and other considerations. We will be installing a laundry greywater system from start to finish on site! You will also receive detailed installation instructions including a parts list following the event ($25 value).
At 1:30pm, in the Rain Garden workshop, you will learn about calculating a water budget, plumbing rainwater lines, and how to size earthworks for peak flows. Andrea Doonan Horticulture + Design will work with us on designing the plant pallet and installing the plants for rain gardens systems. You will also receive some wildflower seeds to help you get your rain garden started. To check out Andrea's amazing work:
