Music Louder Than Hate: Live Music Fundraiser for Amnesty International Hits Leighton Buzzard
Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire – Sunday 2nd November 2025
In a world increasingly divided by hate and fear, one local venue is turning up the volume for unity, hope, and human rights. The Crooked Crow Bar in Leighton Buzzard will host "Music Louder Than Hate", an all-day live music fundraiser in support of Amnesty International, on Sunday 2nd November 2025, from 1pm to 9pm.
This powerful community event will bring together a high-energy lineup of punk, ska, and rock artists, united by a common cause: to stand up for human rights and against hate. Tickets are just £5, available now at www.crookedcrowbar.com, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Amnesty International. 🎸 Line-Up Highlights:
• The Estimators – London-based 8-piece Jamaican ska band guaranteed to get your feet moving with classic ska rhythms.
• S*M*A*S*H – Legendary punk/new wave icons from Welwyn Garden City. Once dubbed "the most dangerous band in Britain", they'll deliver hard-hitting tunes from their 35-year legacy.
• The Beaulocks – High-octane, anarchic punk covers from this Milton Keynes/Northampton band. Expect energy, chaos, and a lot of fun.
• The Reserves – Fierce, explosive rock 'n' roll from Milton Keynes with an uncompromising sound.
• That's What She Said – Serving up classic rock and punk covers with style, attitude, and serious chops.
• Jimmy – Acoustic rock and pop from one of the area's most recognisable and loved local artists.
Between live sets, enjoy vinyl DJ sessions and tasty street food from local vendors. This isn't just a gig— it's a stand for something bigger.
The event was conceived by Simon Timmins and Simon Turner of The Beaulocks, who were inspired to create a night that offers a break from rising intolerance by celebrating music’s power to bring people together.
“We wanted to create something positive, something that unites people,” said co-organiser Simon Turner. “Music has always been a force for change—and it still is.”
The Crooked Crow Bar is proud to support Amnesty International, a global movement campaigning for justice, freedom, and equality.
