After the brilliant Bank Holiday alldayer, we're back to our usual measure of madness.
This month we have guests coming from Brighton! So we designed the night around a special visit from The Qwarks. They are brilliant. Possibly mad, but brilliant.
Their best mates are 9 o'clock Nasty - the world's finest rebel boyband and purveyors of what I'm led to believe are "bangers"
We've invited JJ Lovegrove along to tell us stories of her busy summer - sharing stages with huge bands at festivals to working in the studio with Ed Harcourt. And of course to play us songs of fragile, yet powerful beauty - new and old.
Taking up the opening spot - Chris Ilett starts his residency at these Up The Duffy's events. Which sounds strange to him as he's writing this. A voice that sounds like a chainsaw, and improvised dynamics to trick the audience into thinking the songs have finished when they really haven't.
Approximate stage times: - WE MIGHT START SLIGHTLY EARLIER
18:00 - Chris Ilett
18:45 - JJ Lovegrove
19:30 - The Qwarks (from Brighton, show 'em some support)
20:15 - Nearly 9 o'clock Nasty (Leicester's best original karaoke band)
