Leicester's Homelessness Charter was launched at Leicester Cathedral some seven years ago. We are delighted that on October 17th, Bishop Martyn Snow will lead a service of lament to remember those who have died on our streets, or without permanent homes.
Friday 17th October 2025
Leicester Cathedral 5.30p.m.
This will be a gentle reflective gathering in Leicester’s beautiful cathedral to remember those who have died on our streets or without permanent homes. It will also be an opportunity to lament the facts around homelessness, considering how we can work together to achieve justice and support one another in this endeavour.
You are invited, whether you are experiencing or have experienced homelessness, whether you work in this field or whether you would like to see an end to homelessness in our City and County or whether you just want to remember someone. People of all faiths and none are welcome.
After the service, of around 45 – 50 minutes, you are warmly invited to light refreshments afterwards, to wander around the Cathedral and to catch up with folk.
As there will be some refreshments and time to network after the service so it would be helpful if people could RSVP to
