** Brand New Beginners block starting in Lindy Hop. Perfect for newbies to dancing - No experience in any dancing needed **
~ Come learn to dance with us - Lindy Hop and Charleston - open to everyone - Beginners welcome - no partner needed - Drop-in classes - No booking - Just turn up! ~
Classes are on every Thursday at 7.30 pm on the First Floor of the Charles Wilson building (see below for further location details).
They are free and drop-in.
7.15 pm Doors open - basic footwork practice or social dancing time
7.30 pm Beginners class - New Block of Lindy Hop
9.00 pm Intermediates class - Lindy hop
With social dancing before and between classes for all levels.
We'll teach you everything! Everyone is welcome. Just turn up. There's water to hydrate yourselves; bring a water bottle if you can, to save on cups.
So come join us on Thursday. Can't make this Thursday? - No problem - come the following week, beginners are always welcome.

What is swingdance? Think the dancing styles seen in the Great Gatsby or La La Land. Amazing, right? And it's super fun and relaxed. Here's a recap video of a previous class taught by us:

IF DRIVING IN: free parking is available on campus. Drive to the entrance on University Road (LE1 7RH) closest Welford Road and let the security intercom (via buzzer) at the gates know you're there for a swingdance class, follow the road up and turn RIGHT into the Danielle Brown Sports Car Park (free). Walk across to the Charles Wilson building. We're on the first floor (not mezzanine).
