On Sunday, October 5th, The Mahoning Drive-In Theater welcomes back the Master Of Menace to the big, BIG screen for a terrifying twofer of petrifying pictures with VINCENT PRICE TWICE, paying tribute to one of the larger than life icons of horror, weaving his wicked web of malevolent mastery!
We begin with one of the strangest entries in Mr. Price’s filmography, the brazenly bizarre horror/sci-fi mash up that invites you to SCREAM AND SCREAM AGAIN (1970) as a serial killer stalks the streets, while a strange scientist (Price) uses vats of acid for strange experiments at his remote estate. Directed by Gordon Hessler (THE OBLONG BOX, KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK), and co-starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, and Yutte Stensgaard.
Then, if your nerves can stand it, witness three titans of terror sharing the screen in Roger Corman’s adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s THE RAVEN (1963)! It’s a comedy of terrors when Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre take a jovial jab at the Master of the Macabre in this fearsome flick featuring all manner of malevolent magicianship, in a tale VERY loosely based on the petrifying poem from Baltimore’s favorite son. With Jack Nicholson and Hazel Court.
