Barons War Event: Drawn Swords

What is it
This is a one day gaming event for Barons War written by Andy Hobday and developed with George Asling and Mark Farr using 2nd Edition rules and the latest FAQ.
Recommend miniatures for this event can be purchased from Footsore Miniatures and War-games Atlantic.

Event Rules and List Selections
The event will be played under the latest Barons War Rules in conjunction with latest FAQ’s

Games to be played to the standard 5 turns, scenario objectives or to the time limit.
The event will be at 500 points level. Players can bring lists from the Barons War rulebook, Death and Taxes, Outremer if updated to 2nd Edition.
All armies preferred to be painted to a table top standard. However this is aimed at new player alike so unpainted models will be accepted.
Named Characters are allowed but only one character of that type per tabletop, so bring a second option. If both players that are matched against each other have the same character, roll off to see who uses the character. The person with the lower dice roll uses there second option.
Abilities are allowed but a maximum of 1 additional ability per group. No particular ability can be added to more than 1 group.
Models must be WYSIWYG. (If you model is equipment differently you must make it clear to you opponent before any dice are rolled)

Please bring two copies of your army list will you on the day, one for you and one for your opponent. This can be digital.
New Recruit is a fantastic army builder.
The first match up will be random and after that it will be done via Swiss system.
This is a friendly tournament, therefore we are encourage new players to come to the event that want to learn the game. So please be patient with less experienced players to create and friendly atmosphere. Help them learn the rules.
Timings
There will be four games on the day, starting at 9:30am. The time limit will be 1hr30.
Please arrive at the venue at 9am in order to get your armies ready and unpack your army books, rule books etc.
Conversions and Proxies
All conversion should resemble the character of the original model, and should be WYSIWYG. Please send photographs to check this if you are bringing a conversion or proxy.

Sportsmanship
Please enjoy the game and bring your cheery song and face when playing in the match game. Play the game with a cheer.
FAQs for the rules will be applied if they come out Baron War 2nd edition.
Rules Dispute
Please look up the the rule in the rulebook, if this can not be decided, consider doing a roll off, if either opponent isn’t happy with this please ask the TO. The TO’s decision will be final.
Timings
Please be at the start of the gaming table before your game begins. After ten minutes of the game has began and you’re absent, without reason the game can be claimed by your opponent.
10 minutes will be called before the end of the time in each game and another call will be made with 5 minutes to go. If both players can not finish both their turns within this time period please do not start another turn. If you finish a turn with 5 minutes remaining do not start another turn!

In this tournament the four games will be

Scoring
5 points for a win, 2 point for a draw, 0 for a lose.
Players will be ranked based on their tournament points. The higher the points the higher the ranking.
Players will also be given points for sporting conduct to encourage a friendly atmosphere: 2pts for very friendly and sporting and 1pt there after.
1 Additional point will be give if you force you opponent into a pig pen, units in the pig pensuffer -1 on Morale dice.
Awards
1st Prize, 2nd, 3rd, Best Painted Army/Themed, and Most Sporting.
This event is supported by Footsore Miniatures and all players will receive a miniature and the first three players will receive prizes from Footsore Miniatures also.
Where to stay:
There are several BnB’s in Leek, there is also a Premier Inn in the town centre. Other places to stay would be The Three Horseshoes, which is located next to the stunning Roaches. There are plenty of restaurants from the Napoli, Duck and Feathers and local pubs like the Lazy Trout, Three horseshoe, The Red lion in Waterfall. All would require booking.
Leek is also 25 minutes away from Alton Towers, therefore making idea for a family weekend.
