Our Town Leeds is thrilled to present the Final Fridays Speaker Series!
Join us monthly for fascinating presentations on what makes this a cool little town. We'll hear about the state's Search & Rescue operations, the wildlife who live here, the beef cattle that define Leeds. Future topics will touch on history, forestry, Androscoggin Lake, and more.
We'll spend about an hour on the topic and Q&A, followed by light refreshments and a chance to get to know your neighbors.
Our first three speakers will be:
January 30 - Harry Wiegman, Sergeant, Maine Warden Service
Specialist in Search & Rescue for the state of Maine discusses the work of Game Wardens
February 27 - Aaron Buckley, Buckley Farms
Management Intensive Grazing: Healthy Soils, Healthy Beef
March 27 - Micah Miller, Wildlife Biologist
Loons, Eagles and Bears, oh my! Wildlife biologist with Maine's Biodiversity Research Institute discusses what makes Leeds a unique habitat for wildlife
