Severe weather causes hundreds of injuries and billions of dollars in damage each year. To help communities stay safe, the National Weather Service created SKYWARN®, a nationwide network of trained volunteers who report real‑time weather conditions during storms. With more than 350,000 spotters, SKYWARN® plays a key role in improving the accuracy and lead time of severe weather warnings.
Join us for this 𝙛𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 to learn how you can support Citrus County during hazardous weather events. SKYWARN® spotters are often the first line of defense, providing critical information during thunderstorms, tornadoes, flooding, and other severe weather.
