✨ About the Show
A Christmas Carol collides with The Government Inspector and Noises Off in this laugh-out-loud holiday comedy! When a wannabe actor shows up at a small theater, he’s mistaken for an inspector from the National Endowment for the Arts. Chaos erupts as the company bends over backward to impress him — and their production of A Christmas Carol spirals out of control.
Perfect anytime, but especially at Christmas!

MJ – M/F, 30s–60s. Over-the-top stage manager; also Martha Cratchit in the play-within-the-play.
Wayne – M, 20s–30s. Wannabe actor; reads everything like Richard III; mistaken for the inspector.
Zorah – F, 30s–60s. Temperamental director on the verge of a meltdown.
Luther – M, teens–20s. Oversized Tiny Tim; quits mid-show after booking a TV gig.
Dorothy – F, 30s–60s. Dialect coach/Emily Cratchit; wants to push a duo act with her husband.
Sydney – M, 30s–60s. Marley/Fezziwig; can’t stop rattling chains even out of character.
Phil – M, 30s–60s. Bob Cratchit; hopelessly in love with Zorah after a one-night stand.
Walter – M, 30s–60s. Plays all three ghosts; forgets lines, complains about props.
Kevin – M/F, 20s–40s. Nervous eater/financial director; terrified of Zorah, desperate to please the inspector.
Bart – M, 20s–40s. Plays all the other male roles; smug and semi-douchey.
Larry – M, 30s–60s. Scrooge; newly divorced; insists on pushing “social justice” into the show.
Betty – F, 30s–60s. The real inspector; ends up in a Queen costume because it’s all that fits.
