General Details:
This is our last trip to Matt’s Place for 2025 in Mechanicsburg Indiana. Matt’s Place offers access to Sugar Creek and Browns Wonder Creek. Sugar Creek is a great location and has plenty of water to float dredges of all sizes and Browns Wonder Creek offers plenty of gravel bars to run your high bankers, trommels, or stream sluices along with great panning areas.
Kids Activities will be available during the Saturday schedule and we will update the schedule as we add more activities, please call us at 317/964-1226 to register each child. Adult guardian must be present during all activities.
Camping is available at this location, please register for your campsite with Thomas Fowlkes at 317/946-0155 or

Dinner and raffle will be at 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Saturday. Our raffle will include gold nuggets, PayDirt, and other prospecting equipment.
The prospecting store will be open on Friday Evening, Saturday starting at 9:00 AM, and Sunday Starting at 10:00 AM.
We will have the Indiana PayDirt Company’s Plinko Board up and running on Saturday so that you can win raffle tickets.
Directions:
From Indianapolis:
Take Interstate 65 North to Exit 146 and go East on Indiana State Route 47. Follow State Route 47 until you come to the first stop sign, which is State Route 39 and turn left, which is State Route 39 North. The first town you will come into is Mechanicsburg Indiana. Horton Road is the road that borders the north edge of Sigler’s Restaurant, turn right on Horton Road and the entrance to the pasture is on your left and is located just before the bridge that goes over Browns Wonder Creek.
