Clay Leaves in the Park

Join Ben from the Tech Center and learn about our local trees!

In this short tour of the library park, you will learn about trees, different local species, why trees lose their leaves, and why most nuts need to be frozen to germinate. After the tour, you will pick a leaf from a tree, and learn how to press it into clay to take home. These clay leaves can be turned into decorative center pieces for welcoming in the fall season.

Please note: This program is weather dependent. If it rains a make-up date will be scheduled.

Ages 8-14

Children ages 10 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
