Mark Crossley is best known for his long and distinguished spell at Nottingham Forest, making his first-team debut in 1988 under legendary manager Brian Clough. Over the next 13 years, Crossley became a fan favourite for his commanding presence, sharp reflexes, and big-match performances. He is famously the only goalkeeper to save a Matthew Le Tissier penalty in the Premier League, a testament to his shot-stopping ability. During his time at Forest, Mark made more than 300 appearances.
After leaving Forest, he enjoyed further spells with clubs including Middlesbrough, Fulham, and Sheffield Wednesday. Following retirement, he transitioned into coaching, sharing his experience with the next generation of goalkeepers. Crossley remains a respected figure in English football and a beloved Nottingham Forest icon.
