Coast & Jam is excited & delighted to bring you weekly Beginner & Intermediate West Coast Swing classes in a fantastic, contemporary venue in Leatherhead Surrey.
West Coast Swing is a smooth, relaxed, informal social partner dance.. done to a wide range of beautiful music; motown, R&B, acoustic, pop, blues...
We have developed a lovely warm, inclusive, relaxed, social atmosphere and lots of smiling faces 🙂 beginners & all ages are very welcome. Everyone looks after everyone & you'll be made to feel very welcome x
The big on-site car park is only a few steps from the venue door, we have a beautiful sprung floor, excellent sound system, plus free tea, coffee, cakes etc 😛
Resident local teacher & DJ Phil de Bruin will be there to provide regular, consistent Foundation & Intermediate classes, & music, in the main hall.. Shirley &/or Sam will be giving the beginners more focused lesson in separate studio, also with sprung floor, during the Intermediate lesson.
GPDIA qualified with seven+ years experience of teaching WCS, Phil has passion, genuine care & a particular eye for his students, helping them to gain confidence in their dance and abilities. Phil is happy to offer private tuition, please contact him direct.

By Car:
Your Sat-Nav will take you to the Walk-in entrance, slightly further on, directly opposite the Esso garage is Woodville Rd. Turn down here, immediately past the ambulance station, and you'll see the Gates to Trinity on your right.
By Train:
10 min walk from Station.
Come out the station and head towards the main road (Randalls Rd).
Turn Left along Randalls Rd in the direction of the one-way system until you reach the T-junction, then turn left onto Kingston Road.
Continue along Kingston Road until you see the Esso garage on your left - opposite the garage is Woodville Rd, go down here and the gates to Trinity are on your right.

Footwear:
Try to avoid rubber soled footwear if possible, something with a slippery/slidey sole would be best, flat, with a flat, or medium square/chunky heel.
Footwear with suede or leather soles would be ideal.
We have a beautiful sprung floor, - you could even get away with dancing in socks! 😉
