Join me, Mark Calhoun, for a 4 day/3 night guided tour at one of North America's famous bird watching and migration hotspots, Point Pelee National Park. All age groups and skill levels welcome, as we enjoy the unforgettable spectacle of colourful warblers, vireos, orioles, tanagers, woodpeckers, shorebirds and more. This park's 'Festival of Birds' is amongst the very best birding opportunities in the continent. We can expect to see over 100 species of birds during this tour.

*We will be sharing an Airbnb Cottage which has 3 rooms. We will be sharing the common areas, kitchen, livingroom, washrooms. Each guest will be responsible for their own meals and clean up accordingly.
INTINERARY
Saturday May 17th
Check in after 4:00pm. We will do a short pre-dusk walk at Hillman Marsh, a large and lively wetland close to Point Pelee National Park.
Sunday May 18th
We will have a 5:00am departure from the cottage to catch the early tram to the tip of Point Pelee National Park, where we will participate in the park's 100 Species Challenge, and receive a commemorative pin. We will follow the various trails from the tip back to the Visitor Center. From there, we will explore the adjacent trails until 2:00pm. Once back to the cottage, guest will have an opportunity to explore further areas themselves. Then after dinner, we will return to the park to stroll the Marsh Boardwalk trail.
Monday May 19th
We will continue to enjoy the outstanding viewing opportunities of spring migration throughout the Point Pelee National Park and Hillman Marsh areas. Plus, we will visit Wheatley Harbour to observe waterfowl, gulls and songbirds as they rest during their northbound migration.
Tuesday May 20th
Check out at 10:00am. We will visit the Kopegaron Woods conservation area, which is a 19-hectare Carolinian woodland. Here we will enjoy the beautiful forest boardwalk trails and woodland with many great birding opportunities. As rare birds appear we can pivot our plans to seek out these exceptional birds as well.
*Please note; we will be travelling to the various locations using our own vehicles and will be responsible for our own park passes.
