24 Preludes: launch event and premiere.

I composed my 24 Preludes for Piano in 2019, and for the past year have been working with my friend and colleague, the wonderful pianist Da-Hee Kim, along with sound engineer Jonathan Scott (who is also my brother in law!) to record the pieces. We completed three sessions at St George’s Concert Hall in Bristol and I’m delighted that a new double album (CD and streaming) is to be released by Divine Arts Recordings at the beginning of March.

If you’re Midlands-based, the main launch event is at Presto Music, Leamington Spa, on Wednesday 11th March. Doors open at 6pm with drinks and refreshments served, and there will be an informal recital by Da-Hee of some of the pieces at around 6.30. The London premiere of the Preludes takes place on Monday 16th March at the 1901 Arts Club, Eaton Street SE1. Da-Hee’s recital begins at 7pm (until approximately 8.30), and I will be giving a pre-concert talk at 6.15pm.
