Get ready for the most epic cycling adventure of 2025 – the FWBA Leakey Death Ride! Picture this: you're cruising through the breathtaking Texas Hill Country, surrounded by stunning mountain views, rolling hills, and charming stone cabins. Maybe even a friendly deer or two will pop out to say hello!
This ride is perfect if you're up for a challenge (and who doesn't love a good challenge amongst friends?). Don't let those climbs intimidate you! We've got awesome SAG support to help you conquer those Texas Swiss Alps – or, if you prefer, you can always take a scenic shortcut! It's your adventure, your way!
After all that amazing cycling, you'll be relaxing in super comfy cabins nestled in a peaceful pecan plantation, right by a stream. And if you're a Texas State Parks enthusiast, you're just a short hop from Garner and Lost Maples!
We've also got some fun social events planned so we can all hang out, get to know each other, and make some lasting memories.
Here's the lowdown on the rides:
* **Friday:**
* **Option A:** 50-mile Utopia Loop (mostly flat, but still 2965 feet of climbing!)
* **Option B:** 72-mile Leakey to Medina (a bit more challenging, with 5895 feet of climbing!)
* **Saturday:** The big one! A 100-mile loop including the infamous Twisted Sisters (4375 feet of climbing – get ready for some exhilarating fun!).
* **Sunday:** A relaxing 46-mile out-and-back ride (2092 feet of climbing).
