Talking With... provides a vivid portrait of womanhood in all of it's beauty and complexity. Eleven women tell 11 stories with poignance and power - broken and vulnerable, resilient and bone-jarringly honest, funny and heartbreaking. What story would you tell? How would your story unfold?
Winner of the 1982 American Theatre Critics Award, Best Regional Play, Talking With... by Jane Martin continues to speak powerfully into not merely the female, but the human condition. Laying open the lives of these 11 women with extraordinary depth and sensitivity, Martin allows the audience not merely to feel, but to consider who they have been, who they are, and who they desire to become - 11 monologues that draw us to consider a 12th that is still being played out ... our own!
Directed by Shirlene Joseph, and marking the premiere, theatrical performance in the former library of the Homestake Opera House, Talking With... will be staged in the round with limited seating: intimate and urgent and transcendent all at once.
