Mozzarella from Scratch

Learn the basics of making your own sweet and tender mozzarella cheese!

Cheese making is both an art and basic chemistry. We will begin with a demonstration to show the process of creating curd from fresh milk, using rennet and other coagulants. Then each person will stretch their own fresh mozzarella from premade curd.

We’ll complete the class with a cheese tasting, comparing fresh mozzarella and our aged Cherry Grove Farm cheeses. You will leave with your fresh mozzarella and our signature class folder full of materials and recipes to use at home.
