Basic Firearms Safety

Our firearms safety class provides students with basic skills for handling firearms in a safe, interactive environment.

This is a very basic firearms safety class for persons new to handling or owning firearms. This class focuses on new gun owners or persons who are considering owning a gun. Students will learn about loading and unloading revolvers and semi-auto pistols. Students will learn about gunlocks and access prevention. Students will handle various types of firearms and they will fire simunition weapons with an instructor. Light refreshments will be provided and students will receive a gun lock and eye/ear protection when they complete the class. This class is sponsored by the Lawrenceville Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and is hosted at the Lawrenceville Police Department.
