Clear the Shelter Day!

We can't wait to celebrate Clear the Shelter on Saturday, August 23rd!! We've got so many great animals ranging in breed, size, and age - there is truly something for everyone. Typically, adoption fees at the Lawrence shelter are around $150 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies, $60 for adult cats and $125 for kittens, but those fees will ALL be waived this coming Saturday!

Clear the Shelter Day will begin at 10 am and end at 6 pm (or earlier if all animals are adopted!). All interested adopters will need to line up outside the shelter (1805 E. 19th St) and staff will allow entrance into the building in manageable groups. Adoption counselors will be able to help potential adopters assess animal behaviors, such as a dog’s or cat’s compatibility with another pet in the home.

Every animal that is adopted goes home spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. They'll also come with a collar & leash or cardboard cat carrier, and starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet pet food! So the only thing these pets’ new families will have to do is love them!
