This is a process that was developed in the 1850s called the Wet Plate Collodion Process or Tin Type Photography. Shot on a piece of metal these photographs will last decades longer than a paper photograph. It is time consuming and utterly unique! Shot on a camera from the 1880s with a lens from the same era these photographs are truly one of a kind. Fascinating!
