📚 Join Our September Book Club! 📚
Get ready for Banned Books Week (October 5–11) by diving into some of the most powerful and thought-provoking books that have been challenged or banned over the years.
This September, choose one of the following titles to read and then join fellow teens and adults for a lively discussion:
🔥 Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury – A dystopian classic where books are outlawed and firemen burn knowledge instead of saving it.
✈️ Catch-22 by Joseph Heller – A satirical look at the absurdities of war, bureaucracy, and the struggle to maintain humanity in chaos.
⚖️ To K*ll a Mockingbird by Harper Lee – A timeless novel confronting racism, justice, and morality through the eyes of young Scout Finch.
🌈 All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson – A powerful memoir exploring Black identity, queerness, and resilience.
🧩 White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo – A critical look at race, privilege, and why conversations about racism can be so difficult.
✍️ Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates – A moving letter from father to son about history, identity, and the realities of being Black in America.
✨ Come ready to read, reflect, and share your thoughts. Let’s prepare to celebrate the freedom to read this October—together!
