About the presenter: Bear Afkhami has twelve years of experience in the homeland security field, including prevention, protection, mitigation, response and recovery work. Bear has a BA in Intelligence and an MS in Analytics. He combines his degree in intelligence and interest in international relations, to write and lecture on the impact of foreign policy, foreign/domestic extremist organizations, and use of intelligence. He leads a program called the “Foreign Policy Discussion Series” for the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System in Maryland. As a result, he was selected a s a Council on Foreign Relations Education (CFR) Ambassador in 2025.
