Present People Training

Over 4 Tuesday Nights (March 3rd to 24th 2026, 6-9pm)

Do you want to be more intentional about sharing the grace and truth of Jesus in everyday life?

We all want to see followers of Jesus making an impact in the world. We want to see our love, our prayers, our words, and our lives bring new hope to our community. And we want to see every person in our church put into practice Jesus’ instruction to make disciples.

Whether you are training to be a Chaplain, or just wanting to be more intentionally present in your community, at a special interest group, the school pick up, work, or simply with your family- at Present People we’ll teach you a simple approach and effective tools to make a kingdom impact - wherever you are.

City Mission is privileged to facilitate this two day course, developed by Sports Chaplaincy Australia, which has come out of 40 years of practical ministry in the Australian community, and has become an effective way to simply and gently represent Jesus within whatever context you find yourself in.

What you will learn.

• The basic principle of being present and available to others in their context.
• The 4 expressions of presence that deepen our interactions and our conversations.
• 5 practical skills to utilise anywhere, anytime, to make a life-changing contribution.
• The invitation to immediately begin to practice being Present People.
• Identification by each person of a specific context where the training will be applied.
• A community of like-minded people and support as you walk in presence

Evening schedule.

Over 4 Tuesday Nights (March 3rd to 24th, 6-9pm).

6:00- 6:30: Informal BYO dinner and fellowship (optional)

6:30- 9:00: Training session
