Longest Night Service

Marking the longest night of the year and the arrival of the winter season, Immanuel UCC will be hosting it's annual Longest Night Service on the Winter Solstice, Sunday, December 21st at 7 p.m.

Christmas can be a time of mixed feelings. While Christmas is supposed to be a time of joy and celebration, it can also be a time of loneliness, sorrow, alienation and sadness. Our spirits sink, as the days grow shorter. We feel the darkness growing deeper around us. The Longest Night Church Service will be a time to reflect and remember, as well as gain strength and feel surrounded by the compassionate love of God.

Come out, and join with us in sharing and hearing prayers, scripture, and music that acknowledge that God’s presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle and that God’s Word comes to shine light into our darkness. No matter where you are on life's journey, everyone is welcome at Immanuel.
