Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice is a lyrical, dreamlike reimagining of the Orpheus myth, told from the perspective of a young wife traveling through the obstacles of the underworld. Blending poetic language with surreal imagery, the play embraces themes of memory, love, and loss, and the unbreakable bond between a daughter and her father. With haunting beauty and emotional depth, Ruhl invites audiences to consider what it means to remember. And to let go.
