BACK TO SCHOOL - Step Up For Our Students (FREE EVENT)

Las Vegas, NV — CARE Complex, in partnership with Expertise Barber School, Best Buddies, Poker Gives, Embrace Her, and several community organizations, is excited to host its annual “Heads Up for School” Back-to-School Event on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 200 Foremaster Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89101.

This free event is designed to give children ages 5 to 17 a confident and memorable start to the school year by providing essential back-to-school services and a fun community celebration.

Please note: Children must be present to receive items. Haircuts require advance sign-up using the link below or QR code on the flyer. Services are first come, first served while supplies last.

Event Highlights Include:

• Free Haircuts provided by Expertise Barber School

• Clothing Giveaway with gently used school-age children’s clothes

• Shoe Giveaway (as available), first come, first served

• BBQ Lunch starting at 11 AM with hot dogs and hamburgers

• Cotton Candy Station

• Water Fun Zone to help kids beat the heat

The event is free and open to all school-aged kids (K-12). High school students may be asked to show ID.

Families are encouraged to come early, as supplies will be distributed while they last. Donations Welcome: CARE Complex is currently accepting donations of new or gently used children’s shoes, as well as non-perishable food items for their community pantry. Donations can be dropped off daily from 9 AM to 5 PM at CARE Complex.
