Join us for a stop motion photography workshop! Learn the basics of stop motion photography to create lifestyle and product animations.
This workshop will start with a presentation covering the basics such as:
• Equipment
• Lighting for stop motion photography
• Basic animation concepts
• Software options
• Creating videos and GIFs
• Sharing your work
Following the presentation, you will have the opportunity to practice stop motion photography using your own camera. Props, lighting, and background paper will be set up in stations around the room.
Attendees should bring a camera and tripod to practice basic stop motion photography. If you have a manual lens for your camera (especially a macro lens) bring that too. If you have a camera remote control device (including a phone app), bring that as well. Even if you do not have a remote control device or manual lens, you will still be able to try the basics of stop motion photography.
I'll be presenting this one - come hang out!
We will be having an informal no-host dinner meetup at 5:00 at Santorini on University prior to the meeting.
Meetings of the Doña Ana Photography Club are free and open to the public.
Our in-person meetings take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:15 pm at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 518 N. Alameda Blvd, Las Cruces, NM 88005. Enter the parking lot from W. Mountain Ave. and enter through the Parish Hall door at the back of the building.
