Ft. Selden Read with a Ranger

Join Fort Selden Historic Site in a partnership with Las Cruces Public Libraries for Read with a Ranger story time and craft on Wed., Sept. 24, 4 - 5 p.m. at the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

A ranger from Fort Selden will read "My Grandpa, My Tree, and Me" by Roxanne Troup, which tells the story of a young girl and her grandfather as they cultivate a special pecan tree together in his orchard. After the story participants can take part in a hands-on activity decorating picture frames to take home. Program is geared toward school aged children kindergarten through fifth grade.

This program is FREE and open to the public and takes place in the craft room of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., Las Cruces, NM, 88001.
