My name is Ky'Eira Hemphill-Duran and I am the host and organizer of Bent County- Operation: Hungry Hearts � We hosted a Feed the Homeless charity event this past January where we helped to feed, clothe, and cater to 135 individuals most vulnerable in our community of Las Animas ! The Most vulnerable that we catered to were unhoused individuals, elders, Disabled (las animas is 60% disabled individuals) and any one who wanted to come share a community meal! We served a hot meal, cold cuts to take home, delivered meals to elders and others who could not make it, as well as provided gloves, socks, Toiletries, and whatever else we could get our hands on !! � This coming January I plan to feed at LEAST 200 people ! So to that end I am sharing my charity event here, inviting you all out as my neighbors to participate, donate, or just come eat with us here in Las Animas come January 7th, 2026 � Below will be posted our new fliers, donation list, as well as a video from our last event ! � I do EVERYTHING by the book, from food safety handling to permit for serving food in a public venue ! I am a polisci crimlaw double major, 2x sitting board member in Las Animas, as well as a mother and wife (pregnant with my second now). I am Wisconsin born but Mississippi raised, and I enjoy serving southern cooked meals to anyone with a hungry heart and an empty stomach � Please reach out to me and see how you can be apart of this event, volunteer, donate, or just come enjoy the scenery with us � The Event will be taking place January 7th, 2026, at Rikki Dee Cyclery in Las Animas, Colorado! 1. Women's and men's clothing (kids as we get them)
2. Toiletries for men and women
3. Men and Women's shoes
4. Canned Goods to take home
5. A Hot Meal and cold cuts to take home
6. Hats, gloves, and Coats
7. Blankets, Blankets, Blankets!
The awesome thing about Operation Hungry Hearts is that we ask no questions ! � Everything is set up in a market fashion, and everything is free. All I ask is that you show up with a hungry heart ��
