12 Incompetent Jurors is a fast-paced and whimsical farce, parodying 12 Angry Men. The characters can be described as zany, weird, wacky, nonsensical, etc etc! and is described by the author as being fun both in rehearsal and during the performance, noting that he wrote it as an excuse to do a fun show with his friends. Anyone and Everyone is welcome to audition, and no choice is too big!
While some roles may be suited for different actors, adaptability is a strong suit of this play and Any Actor can play Any Role, we encourage you to audition.

Performances for 12 Incompetent Jurors will be January 15-18 & 22-25, 2026 in the Black Box.
Character Descriptions:
Forman: Wants to do a good job as foreman, and also showcase their improv skills they’ve picked up from their twice-a-week improv class.
Two: Nervous wreck. Believes in justice but has a hard time standing up in the spotlight (the role the author originally played)
Three: The straight man of the play. They are the only sane character, and the ultimate one to be cracked. Leading Role.
Four: Uninterested in the case and more interested in their phone. It’s giving bratty teenager.
Five and Six: Bickering Husband and Wife couple, often steal attention and bring their personal issues into the limelight.
Seven: a heart of gold in a shy shell, looking for more friends to play World of Warcraft with and has big eyes for the Prosecutor.
Eight: Foil to Juror #3. Thinks they can make it as a lawyer and is determined to sway this jury into a Not Guilty verdict. (Unclear if they actually believe he is Not Guilty) Leading Role
Nine: Very Strange individual, eats foods and liquids out of odd containers and is generally very off-putting. Tends to be the favorite character of the show
Ten: Angry and looking for someone to blame, maybe would benefit from breathing exercises.
Eleven: Hotshot Industry person. Knows the walk, knows the talk, chews the gum, doesn’t let people push them around, but not the quickest wit
Twelve: an emigrant from somewhere Eastern Europe.. doesn’t understand the ways like why we have “No Smoking” in the courtroom.
VOICE ROLES:
Judge: no nonsense judge who is over this open-and-shut case and expects to jury to be brief.
Donald Pleats: The accused. Is captured on video committing the crime and shouting “MY NAME IS DONALD PLEATS”
BRAD and SHELLY: The owners of the stolen cats, very normal tempered.
