This easy-to-follow class helps you fill in the blanks and feel more confident using your computer. This focused course uses both Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel to take you on an in-depth tour familiarizing yourself with the Microsoft Office environment.
You will be introduced to the Microsoft Ribbon system and Quick Access toolbar, learning proper Microsoft terminology throughout.

How to cover extensive topics, with much hands-on practice, in both Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel programs. Your work in documents will supplement your Windows skills used in Microsoft Office, as well as introduce you to creating and managing a file system.

Folders
The Microsoft Windows documents storage area
Learning the difference between āsaveā & āsave asā
What it means to open a file
Saving files to, and opening files from, specific folders
Creating, naming & renaming folders
Opening a folder to access its contents
Moving files to new folders
Taking advantage of shortcut tools available in the documents area
Using the recycle bin
The skills covered in this course are prerequisite knowledge for all Microsoft Office and other computer courses.
Prerequisite
Computer Basics Level One or equivalent computer experience.
