Witton Women Yuletime special! Chanting + arty-crafty marketplace at the Miners' Institute hall in Langley Park on Sunday 7th December.
This will be a longer session than usual, from 10:30 to 12:30 and as well as merry, jolly chanting there will be a special 'marketplace'. If you have handmade craft items, or anything else such as pictures or gemstones you'd like to sell, please bring them along. Or, if you're not selling but you have something arty or interesting that you'd like to share, we'd love to take a look.
All welcome to join our lovely, friendly group of women.
Witton Women chanting group meets on the first or second Sunday of each month. We share chants and mantra from a variety of different cultural traditions. No musical experience is needed and no expertise in singing. There are no complicated tunes or words to learn, no 'good' or 'bad' voices, no pressure to perform. It's joyful, uplifting and heart-warming.
Starts at 10:30, finish at 12:00. You may like to bring water to drink, also percussion instruments such as a frame drum, rattle or shakers to add rhythm to our chants. Tea and biscuits are provided at the end of the session but please bring your own mug.
