The Mendip Aurora is the first instalment of the Channel Events Dark Skies Night Trail Running Series.
Join us for this spooky night run around the grounds of Mendip Activity Centre and Sandford Quarry. There's a choice of 5km or 10km distances with the 10km being 2 laps.
The event falls on Halloween so get those spooky costumes ready and join us for a spooktacular run. The Mendip Activity Centre will be fully decked out in Halloween theme, so be part of the fun!
Both the 5km and 10km routes use fantastic grounds of Mendip Activity Centre and the awesome Sandford Quarry with the added buzz of running at night, you may even be treated to a starlit view across the Bristol Channel if we get a clear night!
The 2025 event sees us return for the second time to this awesome venue. Within easy reach of Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Taunton and Bridgwater we hope to attract good numbers.
This event is family friendly. 8-16 year olds can run with a supervising adult (who keeps them in sight at all times) and 16-18 year olds can run solo with parent/guardian consent.
The event takes place on Saturday 1st November 2025 and will start from the Alpine Lounge Cafe at Mendip Activity Centre.
Registration Opens: 18:15
Runs Start: 10km - 19:25, 5km - 19:35
