Hike with Foothills Humane Society

Hikers, and their dogs, are invited to join Conserving Carolina and the Foothills Humane Society (FHS) on Saturday, October 25 for a 5.5-mile hike at Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve in South Carolina.

This is a great opportunity to give a shelter dog a break from the shelter and allow them to enjoy a nice, socializing walk in the woods. There is a limit to the number of dogs that can come from the shelter, so if you’re interested in walking a dog, please contact the Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator for FHS no later than Wednesday, October 15th to arrange a time for training orientation, pairing with the appropriate dog, and to sign a volunteer waiver. Participants may also bring their own dog on the hike so long as they are kept on leash and do not have any nose-to-nose meetings with the shelter dogs.
