Discover the art of turning in this engaging two-hour workshop where creativity meets craftsmanship. Perfect for beginners and hobbyists alike, this hands-on class introduces students to the fundamentals of turning while guiding them through two imaginative projects: crafting a custom acrylic pen or a wizard’s wand.

You’ll begin by selecting from vibrant acrylic pen kits or magical wand blanks with antique copper fittings. With step-by-step instruction, you will learn how to safely operate a lathe, use a roughing gouge, and transform raw blanks into beautifully shaped, polished creations. Along the way, you’ll sand and finish your work to a mirror shine, fit the pen hardware, or attach the resin tip and decorative cabochon to complete your wand.

This workshop offers a fun and rewarding introduction to the lathe while allowing you to leave with one or more unique and functional pieces. No prior turning experience is necessary. Safety glasses are required, and all materials are included in the tuition.
