The Buzzed Bee: An Adult Spelling Bee

Think you can spell “antidisestablishmentarianism” after a couple of drinks? Time to find out at The Buzzed Bee — the rowdy, adults-only spelling bee where your vocabulary and your liver get put to the test.
Here’s the twist: you drink for free… until you misspell.One wrong letter and the tap runs dry. The pressure? Immense. The drama? Delicious.
This is no elementary school spelling bee.Yes, there’s a microphone. Yes, there are judges. And yes, the words go from friendly to downright sadistic. Add in surprise challenges, themed rounds, and an audience that loves to “help,” and anything can happen.
How it works:– Pre-register– Enjoy free beer for as long as you can keep spelling correctly– Compete in escalating rounds of chaos– Win prizes like Best Speller, Most Creative Misspelling, and more– Sip, spell, and survive ‘til the end to snag ultimate glory (and a questionable trophy)
Cheering sections encouraged. Heckling allowed (within reason). Bragging rights eternal. Grab a drink, grab your bravado, and get ready to bee ridiculous.

What to expect at the show:
>> Doors will open at 6:30. The event will start at 7:00.
>> Tickets are $10 in advance (for viewers), and $15 at the door if not sold out. If you would like to participate as a contestant, limited ticketing is available for $20! As always, we’re proud to present an all-ages show!
>> Parking may be available in the small lot across the street. Beyond that, there’s parking available around Buchanan Park and F&M College in the blocks surrounding West Art.
>> Format: This show will be seated in The Sanctuary. Our space is ADA accessible, and we will do our best to accommodate any specific needs.
>> If you haven't yet discovered the magic of the West Art Coffee⚡Bar, now's your chance! We're open from 7 am-10 pm daily, with a full and delicious espresso bar menu, along with a lovely selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, plenty of N/A options, and some tasty bites from our favorite local bakeries. Something for everyone, all day long! Come hang out before the show and experience it for yourself!
