The Prison Policy Initiative memo shows exactly how disparities across every corner of social justice in our city — housing instability, racial profiling, mental health gaps, youth criminalization, poverty, policing, and lack of support services — all funnel directly into pretrial incarceration, feeding Lancaster’s pipeline into mass incarceration.
On December 30th, we launch Straight Talk: Community in Conversation, the first of 12 monthly events in 2026, created to break this cycle wide open.
