The J. P. McCaskey Alumni Association has announced its annual Distinguished Alumni Awards for 2025. Provided annually since 1995, this signature program of the Association seeks to call out and commend a diverse group of five alumni each year who attended McCaskey High School and have been nominated by the general community. Recipients are chosen by a volunteer selection committee and gauged on having achieved a level of stature within their profession or community service which students in the School District of Lancaster would wish to emulate.
The program will be held on Thursday, October 2nd, “Distinguished Alumni Day,” as part of the School District of Lancaster’s Spirit Week leading up to Homecoming and other festivities the following week.
During the instructional day, each award recipient will spend time visiting with current JPM campus students interested in learning more about their respective professional and/or volunteer service achievements.
In the evening these recipients will be honored at The 29th Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Banquet to be held at Lancaster’s Cork Factory Hotel.
The annual Susan J. Garofola Volunteer Service Award will also be presented.
The banquet is being co-sponsored by Groff Funeral and Cremation Services, Hagelgans and Veronis Law, Kegel’s Produce and Andy Esbenshade of Berkshire Hathaway Homesale Realty.
