Join us for Flamenco para Niños with Lily Angeles on Thursdays at 4:30pm.
While actively moving and developing coordination skills and playing around with rhythms, students will study flamenco dance technique and flamenco rhythm. Students will learn dance steps as well as how to support each other as dancers using palmas (flamenco hand clapping) and jaleos (calls of encouragement).
P.S. If you’re looking for kids classes but unable to attend on Thursdays or unable to make it to Lake Oswego, please comment or DM me. We have Wednesday kids classes with me, Laura, and plan to offer more options soon!
This class will be taught by Liliana (Lily)!
Lily was born in Mexico, and she is a flamenca de corazón, a flamenco lover at heart.❤️
She began studying flamenco when she was just eight years old in Guadalajara, and from that moment flamenco formed part of her daily life.
Lily was very involved in the flamenco community in Guadalajara, and prior to moving to Portland, she opened a flamenco school with two friends there.
While she now resides in Portland, Lily returns to Mexico to study in internationally acclaimed festivals there such as “Iberica Contemporanea.”
She is grateful to flamenco for connecting her with others and allowing her to form many lasting friendships.
Dancing flamenco gives Lily the peace, the happiness, and the harmony to live and navigate this adventure called life.
She is looking forward to teaching this upcoming flamenco class for children! 💃🏻🙌♥️
