IBHS Wildfire Ready Home Advisory Assessments: Learn How to Conduct One

The insurance industry has a new program that allows homeowners to get a discount if they meet all of the requirements in a “IBHS Wildfire Ready Home Checklist”. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the checklist and how to use it to help conduct advisory assessments for yourself, neighbors and Firewise Communities. The course will include an on-line portion, classroom and field workshop. The tutorial is from IBHS. The classroom presentations and discussions will be with an insurance agent, and knowledgeable advisory assessors. The field portion will be walking around a neighborhood in Grass Valley to do practice assessments at several homes in a Firewise Community–that have volunteered for this.
