The Heart Attack Hill 5K is three weeks away. We have several Charged Up Hikers who are thinking of attending.
This will be a sneak peak into the 5K route.
We will be meeting in Parking Lot #1 of SARA park trails at 6:15am. This is the main, paved lot with the bathrooms.
Difficulty: Moderate (302 elevation gain)
Length: 3.2 miles
Time: 1.5 - 2 hours
Tips for success:
- Hydrate and take electrolytes the day prior to a hike!
- Have a good meal the night before with good carbs and protein.
- Eat and hydrate the morning of so your body is ready.
- Proper hiking shoes with good tread.
- Proper sun coverage/protection (sunscreen, hat, glasses, long sleeve breathable material etc.)
- Must bring 2 L of water for hike.
- Bring snacks with salt and protein to replenish.
We do use the responses of the event list to determine who will be attending. So please mark "going" if are planning on attending.
