About Q&A Chess: Tournament Edition. . .
Written by kids for kids, Q&A Chess Tournament Edition is a friendly, illustrated guide that will help you become a tournament chess player! We answer lots of questions, share our experiences, and give chess puzzles to help you on your journey.

"Benji, Sarang, and Vivi are three of the most friendly and enthusiastic chess players I know, and this book supports and guides you in the same way they would in real life. Welcome to the chess world!"
—Megan Lee, FIDE Master/Woman International Master

"Q&A Chess: Tournament Edition by The Chess Friends is remarkable. You can actually hear the author kids think and laugh as they share their joy and knowledge about chess tournaments. No other book on the market manages to blend so much information and fun in such an engaging way!"
—Ken Lee, Top Blogger, Chess.com

The Man Benjamin (Benji) Frederick: A lifelong Seattleite, Benji is a chess player who regularly competes in tournaments. When he is not playing chess, he is playing volleyball. When he is not playing either, he is probably reading, doing math, or coming up with new knee-slapper jokes!

The Myth Sarang Sankrithi: A lifelong Lake Forest Park resident, Sarang is a chess national champ, musical prodigy, and published author! He loves learning and has already completed twenty college courses. He enjoys traveling, fantasy sports, tennis, yoga, and puzzles.

The Legend Vivaan (Vivi) Sankrithi: Vivaan is a 7-year-old multiple time chess state champ, aspiring chef, and published author! He loves animals, cooking, languages, inventing, table tennis, basketball, football, 7 Wonders, and NBA 2K.
