We’re back for S’MORE FUN at Mirror Lake on Saturday, October 4, 2025, hosted by the fantastic Friends of Mirror Lake! This is the 10th Annual S’more Fun Trail Run. We hit the trails for this annual event to help support the Friends’ fundraising efforts to sustain and improve the beautiful Mirror Lake State Park.
Registration opens April 1 and closes September 29, or when we hit our cap of 450 participants.

🏃♀️ Race Information:
All races except the Mini Marshmallow Mile and 5K Trail Walk are chip-timed – thank you Tortoise & Hare Timing!
Race maps can be found on the Facebook page, the RunSignup Race Page, and the Friends of Mirror Lake website under the Events tab.
Route Details:
Routes are marked with colored flags to guide you, with clear signage at intersections and volunteers to assist. Each mile is marked so you’ll always know your progress.
Aid Stations:
Available approximately every 3 miles on the 10K and Half Marathon routes. Includes water, Gatorade, GU Energy Gels (10K and Half only), medical aid, and radio contact. Please discard wrappers in the bins provided just beyond each station.
🧃 New in 2025 – Cupless Race!
To reduce waste, we will no longer supply disposable cups. Please bring your own hydration device. A limited number of reusable/collapsible cups will be available for purchase.
🎒 Drop Bag Zone (Half Marathon Only)
Drop your small labeled bag at the park entrance before the race. You'll pass this spot twice during the run. Great for a change of socks, a snack, or shedding layers. Do not include valuables.
🐾 Pets & Strollers
For safety reasons, dogs and strollers are not permitted on race trails.
🎟️ Packet Pick-Up & Race Day Registration:
Same-day registration opens at 7:30 AM.
Packet pick-up: 7:30 AM–9:00 AM at the Beach Shelter.
Race registration closes:
Half Marathon – 8:15 AM
Mini Marshmallow Mile – 8:30 AM
All other events – 8:45 AM

T-shirts guaranteed for participants who register by August 31.
All participants receive post-race snacks, drinks, and s’mores by the beach campfire!
🏅 Awards:
Mini Marshmallow Mile: All kids receive a medal; 1st–3rd place medals awarded.
Half Marathon: All finishers receive participation medals. 1st–3rd place medals awarded per gender.
5K & 10K Races: 1st–3rd place medals for each age/gender group and overall top 3 by gender.
NEW for 2025: All 5K and 10K participants ages 13 & under will receive a completion award!

19 & under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+
📍 Location & Directions:
The Mirror Lake State Park office is at the Fern Dell Rd & Hastings Rd intersection.
For directions, visit dnr.wi.gov and search Mirror Lake > Driving Directions.
Race starts at Mirror Lake Beach.
🚗 Park Stickers & Parking:
All vehicles require a Wisconsin State Park admission sticker (available at the gate or YourPassNow.com).
Rates:
WI Resident: $13/day or $28 annual
Non-Resident: $16/day or $38 annual
Follow directional signs and attendants to designated parking. Allow time to walk to the start. No shoulder or grass parking.
