WITCH PADDLE DETAILSβ¨οΈπ§ββοΈπ:
π
Saturday, October 4th, 3pm sharp (take-off on the water) across from Oyama Community Hall *Oyama Rd*.
β¨οΈ Feel free to check out The Magical Market that's happening at the hall from 10-2pm... or hang out on the beach a bit early across from the Oyama hall, anytime after 2pm. You might need to park down the road a little, or park in the Oyama hall parking lot, so come get organized early and ready for a 3pm sharp take-off.
π If you're coming out on the water on the 4th on either a paddle board or kayak , just remember to bring your WITCHES HAT! Feel free to dress up!
π§ββοΈ The paddle will happen at 3pm across from Oyama Community Hall. We will paddle slowly down to the beach... down the water to the beach across from Oyama store... and back.
βοΈ If you're not coming on the water, lots of people will be on the beach. Feel free to dress up and wear a hat too. We are all welcome to hang out before and after.
πΈ People can walk the rail trail along the side of the water with the paddlers, or stay on the beach. If you've got someone on the shore, make sure they take photos. But if not, there will be tons posted in this group. Photographers of all kinds welcome.
π₯€Feel free to bring your own snacks and drinks, etc. However, there will be light drinks and snacks available at the hall that day due to The Magical Market. Oyama store or the OKF Grill are also open (1km away), but make sure you get there early enough to make it to the beach for the 3pm take-off.
π₯§ Go through your pantry and bring some food donations for the community fridge. There will be a truck there ready for collections. Don't forget cat or dog food donations too. You will see a black truck next to the new bathroom building with a big *food donations* sign. Please put your food donations in the back of the truck.
π PARKING: The paddle gathering is across from Oyama Community Hall (15710 Oyama Rd, Lake Country). There is parking at the hall, BEHIND THE HALL (in the extended parking area) and there is parking at the pull-offs along the water, as you move east down the road. As it gets busier, you might have to keep parking down the road. If it takes you a while to get set up with your board, best to come earlier. If you're not going in the water, please park at the hall/ back hall parking and leave the near-water parking for those that are. Remember the Witches Paddle off at 3pm!
Feel free to come early, put your craft in the water, hang out if you've brought chairs and snacks and have fun. Don't forget your witch hats! π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ§ββοΈ
